Under the legislation which requires money minting, (PL 109-285, link is a PDF file), the selling price of commemorative silver dollar Lincoln would include a supplement of 10 € for the benefit of ALBC. The price includes also the real cost of producing currency and marketing it, plus the value of the $ 1 coin face.

With a limit of coinage only 500,000 through both options minting (proof and Uncirculated finishes), this coin could easily become a big winner (investment) if the Lincoln commemorative silver dollar captures the imagination of the public. Demand could quickly overcome the offer, especially in a year when is always the hundredth of Lincoln is the first design facelift in 50 years. What is more popular sentiment toward Barack Obama and the associations between what Obama has done and that Lincoln were easily could there be a frenzy of public to acquire this problem of Lincoln Silver Dollar.

Unfortunately, I'm not as psychic how I wish I was, and therefore I can't predict the future. I could be completely wrong about the popularity of the potential of these coins, and certainly much will depend on whether the coin dealers market them heavily. Please don't interpret my analysis as a recommendation to invest in these silver dollars of Lincoln. Although I personally plan to buy 3-5 of them for my collection, the decision should depend on the personal taste of money and what will bring your budget. Usually when these issues commemorative sell out, there are too many of them on the secondary market for coins never appreciate in value, so that it would be against the norm if well did Lincoln Silver Dollar Commemoratives.
