The program of drop shipment is a program of u.s. Mint that is intended to facilitate the movement of presidential dollar coins. The direct Ship Program dollars are in the same currency-roll wrapper that you can get from your local bank, instead of in the wrappers US Mint collectible substantially more expensive.
The program of drop shipment sells presidential dollars in nominal quantity of the nominal value of $ 250 and a par value of $ 500 (10 and 20 rolls, respectively.) There is no surcharge on coins, with no cost for shipping, so really you are buying coins at face value, despite the fact that they are shipped.
Since there is no mark-up and no shipping charge, you can purchase the presidential dollars lower than their nominal value, if you use a credit card refund to place your order (and pay your credit card in time!) Use my Visa card 3% cash-back on buying $ 500 every month, so get them for $ 15 below the nominal value. Then search for all rolls for coins Presidential Dollar lucrative error and die varieties, keep anything worth more nominal value for my collection of coins or selling on eBay. The rest is spent in circulation or storage in the vault as part of my collection.
The programme for the shipment of circulating coins are meant for, not for numismatics (coin collection) purposes. Because of this, you cannot specify which mint coins come. The vast majority of them has been from the Philadelphia Mint, although a couple of readers have reported that some find Denver mixed rolls. There were also a few reports of odd President wrong in a roll; for example, to find a dollar Jefferson a roll of Jacksons. This could mean that the coins of shipment are originating from Banca re-wrapped-returns, or may just be the coin odd residue left in a coin counting machine or transport bin somewhere that you added later. My experience has been that ship bound coins have a much lower percentage of error coins in them than I get from my Bank, but I'm trying these small numbers of them that my results are statistically insignificant.
Here is the link to the shipment of the u.s. Mint. When you place your order, you must select the shipping option and the cart will make it appear that you are paying for shipping, but on the page where the final order is charged to your credit card, direct debit will disappear. (You must select the shipping option for $ 4.95 standard). Hopefully the Mint to solve this problem of confusion, but meanwhile don't let cares.
