Lincoln Memorial Key Dates

The US Lincoln Memorial Cent was released since 1959, when it replaced the wheat penny. (See another page for key dates Wheat Penny Penny values or wheat). There are no rare dates of regular series of Lincoln Memorial Penny, as most of the dates had mintages in billion coins, and an entire collection of hundredths of memory still might be formed from circulation.

Although there are real regular series keys, some dates are worthy of notice to be a bit painful. These include date Small 1960-D and 1982 (plain, minted in Philadelphia) cents of zinc. Any copper 1982 and earlier Lincoln Memorial Penny worth dismissing, as the value of copper ingots in cents is approximately 3 times the nominal value now.
